A bloody mistake

A bloody mistake
Today is our 9th visit to the vet, the first 5 was with Lucy, the remaining with Jeremy.
A few months ago, I found blood in someone's urine.  It was either Lucy or Jeremy.  I took both to my now ex-vet, they eliminated Jeremy and decided it was Lucy.  Long story short, I took Lucy to Angell Memorial, they ran all sorts of tests, x-rays and ultrasound.  Found nothing.  A few weeks later, I found out it was actually Jeremy.  Now we are starting the whole process again.  The vet just came in and told me that there are two 6mm stones in his bladder, they will have to operate on him.  My poor baby.  I am glad at least we finally got some answers.

Crazy little thing called love

Crazy little thing called love
Murphy has been on vacation for over 2 weeks, today is our first walk since he has been back.  I have missed him, and it turns out he has missed me too!  As soon as I walked in, he jumped up, I knelt down, and he spent the next 5 minutes licking every inch of my face.  It was a beautiful thing.   Love was in the air!

Yankee fan no more!

Elle used to be a Yankee fan, she recently moved to Boston, her family gave her up after 7 years.  Reason?  No time for her anymore.  As sad as that may sound, she is probably better off.  She is now staying with Lolo's family, they are trying to get her in shape and find her a new FOREVER home.  She is very generous with her kisses, and she kind of grunts like a little pig, its all very endearing.   If you want to take her home and convert her into a Sox fan, contact us!

Mr. Big!

Mr. Big!
Bumped into this big guy during one of my walks this week, his name is Lester, 5 years old, 146 lbs, about 3 feet tall.  He is a tourist.  Don't get to see that many Great Danes around here, he is definitely one of the most handsome I have seen so far!

A kiss is just a kiss

A kiss is just a kiss
Today I got kisses from Grey, why is it such a big deal that I have to blog about it?
I have been walking Grey with a group for about a month now.  Grey is a rescue, a very sweet dog, he is very cautious, takes a while to trust new people.  He is also a fearful dog and if he feels threatens, he can become aggressive.
My "welcome" has gone from barking and growling, to just sitting on his bed staring at me, to coming over to greet me, letting me pat him and walking away.  So... it is a very big deal that I got kisses from him and I want to tell everyone that I am finally becoming his people. :)  Yeah Yeah!!

Pursuit of Happiness!

Pursuit of Happiness!
Bailey loves to play fetch, I would say this is the thing he loves the most in the whole wide world, well aside from his mama - me!  He can play non-stop for hours and hours.  The only problem is, he has a hard time letting go of the ball.  So we never really play fetch for too long, as it is no fun asking him over and over again to drop the ball, me trying to grab it, him running away.  Lately though, he has learned to let go.  Now, we play fetch all the time.  He has learned a very important lesson in life - letting go. :)
